Rattlebang: The Parable of the Good Samaritan Hardcover – October 1, by Mark Rattlebang book (Author)/5(10). Rattle Bang is a great book because it is a modern story of the good samaritan.

It teaches kids to be nice even if other people are not nice to them. In this story Rattle bang is an old beat up truck that gets made fun of by Rundle a new fast shiney truck.

And rundle gets into a bad accident and RattleBang still goes out of his way to help Rundle/5. This book is about a new bride and groom who decide on a large family instead of a fancy car that will never break down, because they can't afford both. They buy an old "rattlebang" instead and have great adventures with there many children (and grandma too).

A very fun story/5(12). The title of the story Rattle Bang is the name of a old, beat-up, pick-up truck. Rattle Bang is a nice and has lots of friends. There is one car who no one likes, and his name is Rundle. Rundle is a shiny, bright red truck with blazing speed, and is also rude and a show-off/5(4).

The McTavishes have piled into their old rattlebang car for a picnic on the top of Mount Fogg. But when the mountain starts to shake and red-hot lava erupts, the McTavishes hope that the old rattlebang can stay together long enough to save them from disaster.

-- "An original tall tale with an outrageously bizarre plot /5. Doubly unfortunately, the rattlebang loses a wheel as the family flees the lava flow but the ever inventive children suggest using that uncuttable pizza as a replacement. It’s just a lightweight lighthearted fluffy picture book but it’s one of the few recent picture books I went out of my way to get, along with The Incredible Painting of Felix Clousseau.

The Rattlebang Picnic is a wonderful story of ingenuity and family life by master storyteller Margaret Mahy. Can you begin to guess the location of this picnic: "It was a beautiful morning.A plume of pure white cloud floated around the top of the mountain. The old rattlebang struggled up the winding, rocky road - bumping and banging and backfiring - then stoppped right.

Mortimer was the first story I ever made up. I made it up way back in when I was a student teacher at Wellesley College Child Studies Nursery School. The teacher said to me one day: “Bob Munsch, It’s your turn to do circle time.”. The Rattle Bag is an anthology of poetry (mostly in English but occasionally in translation) for general readers and students of all ages and backgrounds.

These poems have been selected by the simple yet telling criteria that they are the personal favorites of the editors, themselves two of contemporary literature's leading poets/5(62). Winner of the Book of the Year Award, and the Picture Book category, at the New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards; and included in the Picture Book category of the Storylines Notable Books List () The Margaret Mahy Treasury: Eleven Favourite Stories from the Marvellous Margaret Mahy: Puffin: Footsteps Through the Fog: Gavin Bishop.

Momo is a allegory about time. But then an unexpected visitor arrives to interrupt this rainy afternoon at the napping house where no one now is sleeping.
